🚴 Why Choose the Extralite HyperStem?

Fatigue-tested for months, the Extralite HyperStem ±6° combines Italian craftsmanship, lightweight performance, and real-world durability. Every stem undergoes over an hour of continuous 3D CNC milling, ensuring smooth surfaces and flawless contours. This sculpted, ultra-rigid stem is one of the most carbon-friendly headstems on the market. No wonder it's the choice of our lightweight custom builds!

Extralite has been manufacturing class-leading bicycle components since 1995, and nearly three decades of expertise shows in every detail of this stunning headstem. With weights as low as 69g for the 80mm version, the HyperStem keeps your cockpit sleek without compromising stiffness or control.

Its oversized 3D CNC body, paired with Grade 5 titanium black PVD-coated Torx bolts, delivers optimal clamping force while protecting delicate carbon handlebars and steerer tubes.

You'll notice an immediate improvement in responsiveness, precision and confidence, whether grinding XC trails, pushing gravel adventures or chasing road-racing performance.

Available in multiple lengths, and stocked in Australia, this stem provides unmatched stability and reliability.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this stem suitable for carbon steerer tubes?
A: Yes, the rounded clamp edges and low torque design (2Nm) make it ideal for carbon steerer tubes. Always ensure your steerer tube can accommodate a 38mm clamp height with 32mm minimum insertion.

Q: Can I use the HyperStem on any carbon handlebar?
A: Only with high-quality carbon bars featuring cross fibers in the clamp area. Always follow the recommended torque procedure.

Q: Can I overtighten the bolts to make it stiffer?
A: No. The HyperStem is designed for low torque (2Nm). Over-tightening can damage the handlebar or stem clamps.
