Running a Garbaruk direct-mount chainring will also help you drop up to 400g from your drivetrain. By directly mounting the ring onto your cranks, you eliminate the crank spider. Running a 1X setup means you can bin your front derailleur. And as Garbaruk’s variable teeth thickness minimises the gaps between the chainring and the chain to keep the chain in place, you can throw your chain guide out as well.
