🚴 Why Choose the Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage for Shimano GRX 11-speed?
Shimano’s stock GRX rear derailleur does many things well, but running a massive cassette straight out of the box ain’t one of them. That’s where the Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage for Shimano GRX 11-speed comes in.
Engineered specifically for the RD-RX812 mechanical derailleur, Garbaruk’s cage transforms your drivetrain by allowing you to run wide-range cassettes up to 50 teeth. Whether you’re climbing steep backcountry tracks, hauling gear across continents, or just want more low end gearing, Garbaruk has you covered.
Machined in Poland from high-strength 7075-T651 aluminium, this cage is as tough as it is light, and the finish is as crisp as the shifting. By reconfiguring the pulley positions, it optimises the derailleur’s movement to handle larger cogs smoothly and reliably. The result? Better shifting across the entire range and less drivetrain stress on those long, grindy climbs.
Want to punch it up a notch? Pair it with a set of Garbaruk’s oversized pulleys for even better performance.

FAQs
Q: What derailleur does the Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage for Shimano GRX 11-speed fit?
A: This cage is made specifically for Shimano’s RD-RX812 11-speed GRX mechanical rear derailleur.
Q: Does the Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage for Shimano GRX 11-speed fit Di2 derailleurs?
A: No. It will not fit Di2 GRX models. That’s what the Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage for Shimano GRX Di2 11-speed model is for.
Q: Can I use this derailleur cage to run a 50T cassette?
A: Absolutely – that’s the main advantage. You’ll unlock a much wider gear range without switching to an MTB derailleur.
Q: Why would I want to run a bigger cassette on my bike?
A: A wider cassette gives you a bigger gear range – perfect for bikepacking, gravel climbs, or simply spinning more comfortably across … well, pretty much any trail and terrain you want.
Q: Why is this better than a roadlink adapter?
A: Roadlink-style adapters simply drop the derailleur without correcting pulley alignment. Garbaruk’s cage redesigns the movement path, giving you better shifting and reliability across the whole cassette. No need for mucking around with adapters and compromises.
Q: Do I need new jockey wheels for my Garbaruk rear derailleur cage?
A: It’s not mandatory—you can run a Garbaruk derailleur cage with your old, boring jockey wheels—but we highly recommend pairing them with Garbaruk’s oversized pulley wheels for three reasons: 1) it will give you the smoothest and most efficient shifting; 2) it will eliminate the gap between the regular jockey wheel and a Garbaruk cage, to reduce the risk of debris (e.g. a stick) getting caught in between; and 3) they just look awesome.
