SQLab 611 Ergowave Saddle - Next-Level Comfort For Demanding Trails
An MTB saddle built for endurance, the SQLab 611 Ergowave offers comfort, relief and durability, so you can ride harder for longer.
🚴 Why Choose the SQLab 611 Ergowave Saddle?
The SQLab 611 Ergowave saddle is engineered specifically for mountain bikers who demand comfort and control across rugged terrain. Whether you're tackling all-mountain trails or charging through enduro descents, this saddle is designed to keep you riding longer, stronger, and with better posture.
At the heart of the 611 is SQLab’s signature Ergowave profile, a stepped design that supports the sit bones while relieving pressure from sensitive areas, including the perineal region. The raised rear section provides a stable platform for improved power transfer, especially useful on technical climbs or for hard acceleration. The slightly lowered and widened saddle nose enhances comfort when riding in aggressive positions, offering the ideal balance between freedom of movement and pressure relief.
Designed to suit the unique needs of off-road riders, the 611 features padding tailored for MTB use, with improved damping properties to absorb shock from uneven terrain. It’s lightweight yet reinforced with durable Kevlar sides to withstand abrasion, making it a robust choice for long days on the bike.
If you’ve been struggling with discomfort, pressure points, or poor weight distribution on long rides, the SQLab 611 Ergowave may just be the game-changer your MTB setup needs.
Features
- MTB-Specific Ergonomics: Designed for all-mountain and enduro riding, the 611 Ergowave combines sport-level performance with off-road comfort
- Optimised Wave Shape: Supports sit bones and improves power transfer, particularly useful during climbs and sprints
- Pressure Relief Zones: Lowered nose and centre dip reduce pressure on the perineal area, enhancing comfort and blood flow
- Durable Kevlar Edges: Reinforced sides protect against wear and tear from crashes or rough trails
Pro Bike Mechanic’s Tip
Even the best saddle can’t perform at its peak if it’s not set up correctly. Take an Allen key along with you for your first few rides so you can make minor adjustments if need be. Small adjustments to your saddle height and angle can make a big difference in comfort and power.

Q: Does this saddle come with Active Technology?
A: No, this particular model does not feature Active Technology, making it lighter and more direct in feel.
Q: How do I know what size of SQLab saddle I need?
A: SQLab bases saddle sizing on two factors: 1) your sit bone width and 2) your riding position.
First, measure your sit bones using a simple at-home method—just a piece of corrugated cardboard and a hard surface. This quick video shows you how: Watch here
.
Once you have your sit bone measurement, add the correct margin based on how upright your riding position is:
Riding Position | Description | Adjustment |
---|---|---|
Aggressive | Very low, stretched-out road position | Sit bone width = saddle size |
Moderate | Slightly upright, endurance/all-road position | Sit bone width + 1 cm |
Upright | Relaxed, trekking or city-style riding position | Sit bone width + 2–3 cm |
The more upright you ride, the wider your saddle needs to be, because your sit bones rotate outward as your upper body becomes more vertical. Choosing the correct width ensures your weight is properly supported and helps avoid numbness and pressure issues.
