Hope Technology has been designing and machining mountain bike components at their own factory in Barnoldswick, England for over 30 years. Their Seat Clamp ST isn't just a basic bolt-up; it carries the same engineering standard as their world-famous hubs and brakes.
The clamp is machined from 2014 T6 aluminium with a stainless steel bolt, and uses a spherical seat bolt and nut arrangement to keep clamping force even around the seat tube. Forget more lopsided pressure or a slowly sinking post: the IGUS bushing keeps the action smooth with minimal maintenance, and the clamping area is generously sized to work properly with dropper seatposts, which is where cheaper clamps often let you down (literally).
This Hope Tech clamp is not only well-engineered but also good-looking. We've run it on multiple high-end custom builds, as you can see! Ride it hard: it'll keep your post exactly where you want it, for as long as you want it to.

Pro Bike Mechanic's Tip
Seat clamp sizing is based on your frame's seat tube outside diameter, not your seatpost diameter. Grab a set of calipers and measure the actual outside diameter of your seat tube before ordering, or check your frame manufacturer's spec sheet to make sure you're getting the right fit.

FAQs
What sizes and colours do you stock?
We stock 31.8mm in Black, Purple, Red, Blue, Silver and Orange. We also stock 30.0mm, 34.9mm and 36.4mm in Black. Other sizes and colours are available via special order.
How do I know what size I need?
Measure the outside diameter of your frame's seat tube (not your seatpost) with a set of calipers. If you're not sure, check your frame manufacturer's spec sheet or get in touch and we'll help you work it out.
Is this the QR (quick-release) version or the bolted version?
This is the bolted (Bolt Up) version. We don't currently stock the QR version.
Will this work with my dropper post?
Yes — the clamp has a larger clamping area specifically designed to work well with dropper seatposts, in addition to standard posts.
Do you ship Hope Tech products Australia-wide?

This webshop is focused on online retail. If you're in Adelaide, however, we run a separate workshop (Bio-Mechanics Cycles & Repairs). You're welcome to book in via that site to get components installed or your bike serviced.
