SQLab 711 Tech & Trail 2.0 Grips - Ergonomic Control That Goes the Distance

Ergonomic, performance-focused grips designed for long-distance trail and XC riding. Featuring SQLab’s unique shape and pressure-relieving technology, the 711 Tech & Trail 2.0 grips deliver comfort, control and custom sizing for peak off-road performance.

🚴 Why Choose SQLab 711 Tech & Trail 2.0 Grips?

If you're a rider who logs long hours on the trail or pushes through brutal XC and marathon courses, you already know how much your hands matter. The SQLab 711 Tech & Trail 2.0 Grips are built specifically to give you better comfort, improved control and reduced fatigue.

Developed for performance-focused MTB, trail and XC riders, the 711 grips take a scientific approach to hand and finger support. Instead of a traditional round outer shape, the 711’s ergonomic profile flattens pressure points and provides a secure, natural hold, even when fatigue sets in. The clamp has also been cleverly relocated from the outside of the grip to the inside, increasing cushioning exactly where your hands need it most.

The Ergobar — SQLab’s angular, wave-like elevation on the underside of the grip — conforms to the natural shape of your fingers, preventing slippage and maintaining control without requiring a death grip. Combined with pressure-optimised shaping and advanced rubber compounds, the 711 grips dramatically reduce the chances of numbness, tingling fingers or wrist and shoulder pain.

With three grip sizes tailored to different hand shapes and diameters, the SQLab 711 is designed for performance and endurance, without compromise. And because SQLab is serious about rider health and safety, the 711s are latex-free and tested for harmful substances. No mystery compounds here — just high-performance German design.

If you’ve ever dealt with numb fingers or upper body pain while riding, the 711 grips are a carefully engineered solution that performs just as well on an after-work trail blast as it does during the last punishing kilometres of a marathon event.

Features

  • Optimised Grip Ergonomics: Supports your fingers and palm naturally, improving control without locking you into one position
  • Built-In Pressure Relief: Developed using pressure mapping and rider data, the 711 grips reduce strain on nerves and blood vessels, helping to prevent numb or tingling fingers even on extended rides
  • Inner Clamp, Outer Comfort: By relocating the clamp to the inner side, cushioning is maximised on the outer edge, exactly where it’s needed
  • Three Size Options: Each size offers a unique outer shape and circumference to match your hand size for optimal support
  • High-Quality, Non-Sticky Materials: Durable, non-toxic, latex-free rubber ensures long-term use with no degradation or sticky mess

Pro Bike Mechanic’s Tip

Even the best grips can’t fix poor setup. Make sure your handlebar width and angle suit your riding position, and experiment with grip rotation to find your ideal contact points. Small tweaks can make a huge difference in comfort.

A: The 711 grips are optimised for trail, XC and marathon-style riding. If you need something burlier for gravity disciplines, check out the 70X grips instead.

Q: Can I use the SQLab 711 grips on an e-MTB?
A: Yes! These grips are fully compatible with e-MTBs and offer excellent control and vibration damping on powered rides.

Q: Do these SQLab grips come with bar ends?
A: No, bar ends are not included. However, the grips include their own end plugs for a finished, secure installation. Plus you might wanna check out the Innerbarends.

Q: Will the rubber go sticky over time?
A: No. SQLab uses premium, tested TPE compounds that resist degradation and remain non-sticky throughout their lifespan.

Q: How do I know which size SQLab grip is the right one for me?
A: SQLab offers grip size info to match you with the right diameter and shape for your hand, but in all honesty, the simplest way is to base it off your glove size. (If in doubt, go one size up rather than down.)
