White Industries Internal T47 Bottom Bracket 30mm Stainless Steel Bearings
A light, smooth, American-made T47 BB for your 30mm spindle cranks. White Industries helped develop the T47 standard, so it's no surprise they make one of the best T47 bottom brackets around. Machined in California with stainless steel angular contact bearings, this one is built to spin smoothly, stay quiet and last for years.
Why Choose a White Industries T47 Bottom Bracket?
The White Industries Internal T47 Bottom Bracket is a threaded bottom bracket for 86mm and 92mm wide T47 shells, with the bearings sitting inboard of the frame's shell. This version is sized for 30mm spindle cranks and has stainless steel angular contact bearings.
🚴 Why You'll Love This White Industries BB
Every White Industries bottom bracket is made in their Petaluma, California workshop. The cups are machined, anodised and engraved in-house and fitted with Enduro bearings, so the quality is controlled from start to finish.
T47 is a standard White Industries helped develop in 2016. It uses a 47mm thread, which gives frame builders a bigger weld area for larger tubes and leaves room inside the shell for internally routed cables. Threaded T47 shells are also a popular alternative to press-fit, because there's no creaking to chase down.
The stainless steel angular contact bearings are made for the loads of pedalling, and resist corrosion. They're also replaceable, so when it's time for new ones you can swap them out instead of having to buy a whole new bottom bracket.
At 79g, this is a light bottom bracket. There's even a little note from White Industries machine-engraved into it. (What does it say? You'll need to buy one to find out.)

Pro Bike Mechanic's Tip
Before you order, check what you've actually got. T47 cups will not thread into a BSA shell (they're much bigger), and a T47 shell can be 86mm or 92mm wide. Use a 16-notch/52.2mm tool such as the Park Tool BBT-47, and tighten the cups to 35-50Nm. Spindle spacers aren't included, so check your crank's requirements before you start.

FAQs
Will it fit my frame?
This bottom bracket suits T47 threaded shells that are 86mm or 92mm wide. It won't fit BSA threaded shells or press-fit shells. If your frame is BSA, we also stock an external BSA version.
Will it fit my cranks?
This version is for cranks with a 30mm spindle, such as White Industries MR30 series cranks. If your cranks have a 29mm (SRAM DUB) or 24mm spindle, you'll need a different size. Email us and we'll sort it.
What does "internal" mean?
The bearings sit inside the frame's bottom bracket shell, rather than outside it. Internal T47 is made for 86mm and 92mm shells, while the external version sits on narrower 68mm and 73mm shells.
Do I need a sleeve?
A White Industries T47 bottom bracket sleeve is sold separately. Add one to your order here: White Industries T47 Bottom Bracket Sleeve.
What tools do I need?
A 16-notch/52.2mm bottom bracket tool, such as the Park Tool BBT-47, plus a torque wrench. Tighten to 35-50Nm.
Do I need spacers?
Possibly. Spindle and cup spacers aren't included, and what you need depends on your crank and frame. If you're not sure, get in touch and we'll help you work it out.
Does my frame need to be faced before fitting this bottom bracket?
For the best connection between the bottom bracket cups and the frame, we always recommend frame facing. We go into a lot more detail about why it's so important in our facing blog post.
Can I get a different bearing?
Yes. White Industries make this BB in a XD-15 ceramic-hybrid bearing version. Email us and we'll arrange a special order.
